Back from the Gulf

Gulf wars was splendid. The management was competent or better. The folks were welcoming. The site is nice. The merchant space was just fine. People came out and shopped. And shopped. And shopped some more. String geeking occurred a lot. We packed up dry canvas. The Hat was well received and often photographed.

My pants are totally bankrupt.

I got started on a commission piece of weaving. A client wants yardage of each of the three Hallstatt ribbons. Of course I start with Ribbon 1. It's 3/1 twill and the widest of the lot. I got a fair bit woven; it prompted many an "oooh shiny" remark. Pictures to come.

Did the news about Mistress Kiri travel all the way to Gulf Wars?

Yes it did. Evan called me personally; the word got down to others by multiple channels. Duchess Seonaid spoke about Kiri at court. I'm told it was quite moving (but, alas, court was opposite Midnight Madness).
