Pennsic and not-Pennsic follies

 Today, the Pennsic Mayor announced that Pennsic 49 would be postponed yet one more year, to 2022. No real surprise there. Given the constraints the BoD has placed on events, there was no way to do Pennsic without a huge variance.

However, Coopers Lake Campground is running an event they are calling "Armistice" over the same period that is meant to be most of Pennsic. It's a bit more expensive ($250 for 12 days), but not out of line. We have to decide if we want to attend and set up shop. I'd really like to; Megan is dithering at the moment. 

For another factor, Fred Blonder has said that he intends to be there and burn a memorial ship. I'd like to be in on that, which will require my presence. 

If we go, we won't have Morgyn, so we will have the ability to set up a smaller rig and camp in the RV.

Armistice? Fascinating! Shades of the old Pennsic Peace! Is it an SCA-related event, or is someone else running it?

I am on the fence too. It would make me feel a whole lot more comfortable if PA wasn't quite so short on vaccinations. Our area had opened up twice the number of vaccinations sites when Johnson & Johnson came online. Now we are just waiting.

I am going and setting up shop...altho my husband will most likely say at home after setting up..to watch our brick and mortar shops.

I was a larper before joining SCA so it will be interesting seeing different larps there. If that is the Cooper's intent. When it gets closer to the time of the event, will have to query the attendees as to what they would like me to bring since I will probably bring half the stock. Anticipate @ 3000 people. Altho Cindy will let us know how many folks will be attending - aprox.

Will be following PA's protocols...have queried Cindy as to whether or not we have to stay open late for MM. That is the only thing I feel uncomfortable about. Being solo and possibility of crowds.
