Jane. Half of the name of the love of my life, my dear wife Mary Jane.
Jayne. Not the brightest bulb in the string, but there when you need him...unless someone has made a better offer; he knows guns. (Firefly/Serenity)
Joseph. My middle name.
Jigsaw. A woodworking power tool that I *don't* own.
Jersey. As in New; where I grew up (in the southern part, about two miles south of where the wave of Levittown-like development stopped in the early sixties).
Jump. The FTL mechanism used in Traveller, a game that I still follow even though I haven't played in ages.
Järvenpää. The town in Finland by which I went when going to visit Tofa and Thorvald (and to take sauna there -- real, traditional smoke sauna even).
Junk. The condition of my Honda Civic Hybrid. :( But it protected MJ... :)
Jigs. Things that make woodworking go much more smoothly and repeatably.
Jointer. A woodworking power tool that I *do* own (and also a style of hand plane of which I have a Number 7). Both do similar tasks. The hand plane can produce wonderful shavings.
