We went up to Massachussets to visit with the Bodines. Bob is comfortable, but the pain meds are playing havoc with his mind. It was good to visit with Martha and the kids -- they are hanging in there, but it's rough on them. I would not be astonished if Bob doesn't last the next two weeks, but you can't really tell with these things. Clearly, there is no point to taking the monthly poker game up there for one last fling. On the other hand, the Sacred Harp sing that we (Clan Cambion) are going to do next Monday before cameras should yield a DVD that will be treasured by the rest of the family, even if it arrives too late for Bob to take in.
Please keep holding them in the light.
Edit: Among the activities this weekend, I became acquainted with Dead Like Me. The Bodines have the first season DVDs, and they got exercised. That is a very interesting show. Interesting gimmick coupled with depth and development.
