Let the adventure begin
Apr. 29th, 2011 01:16 pmWe met with a Realtor today to discuss selling our house. Her comparative market analysis was pleasant. We have a target number in mind and there is a considerable gap between that and her numbers, in a good way.
Now we have to get cracking on decluttering and the fixups. Eek!
Update: My savings will only last so long paying the mortgage, and we don't want to get into default and foreclosure, so we are taking preemptive action. We don't have a specific place to go yet (and Iowa has not yet materialized anything), but MJ has been eager to get out of the DC area for a while now, so we are moving ahead.
One fallback position is moving to Surf City, NC, where there is a house at the beach we can use. That could buy a fair chunk of time.
