Well, the young'un had the day off from school, and it was my (alternate) Friday off, so we made a family outing of it and went to (finally) see Serenity.
*damn*
That was really fine. Nice story. Fun characters. Effects that didn't intrude but didn't look cheesy. I'd seen some sentiment expressed that the effects were a bit lame or weak, but I can't buy into that line.
Happy bits. Sad bits. A nice ending, but not sugar coated. Things to be grumpy about...

I'm not being near eloquent enough here to express just how much we all enjoyed the movie...
