...so the Supreme Court is considering the case of "Bong Hits For Jesus" (being a question of free speech versus school administration rights to abridge same), and it occurs to me that everyone has completely overlooked the other half of the sign...

"and doubles home two runs"

Meanwhile, we spend a long weekend in Louisiana doing the Acadiana Medieval Faire. (http://acadianamedievalfaire.com) Business was less than stellar, in significant part because it rained both Saturday and Sunday. *bleaugh*

On the other hand, I have now eaten boudin and drunk Mello Joy coffee. More of each were brought home with us.

We also got to hear two wonderful groups perform. Istanpitta and L'Ensemble Cercamon both performed some wonderful medieval music, moving us to pick up their CDs. Istanpitta was at Pennsic last year and will be there again this year. L'Ensemble Cercamon was encouraged to try to make it to Pennsic. They are from Quebec; one of the songs in their set was in Langeduc.

We visited friends in Long Beach Tuesday night (and used their shower!!). Wednesday was a long drive home (Happy Birthday dear wife!). Had I been thinking ahead, I would have explored the idea of trying to meet up with friends in Greenville, SC to make a bit more of birthday dinner. Unfortunately, the idea occurred to me as we pulled off the interstate, and I didn't have any phone numbers handy. *sigh*

Notable also is the fact that we went more than 100 miles to an event and had no van troubles!

I think the "Bong Hits for Jesus..." is just a bit ridiculous on the school's side. From what hubby told me, the sign wasn't even on school property. I really hope they find in favor of the kid.

When do you want me where tomorrow and is a big suitcase and a couple of tote bags too much to bring?

See you tomorrow!

Sorry you didn't get a lot of business. Happy Belated Birthday to Megan! You must have rolled in pretty late (or early a.m.). Pedro, Devora and I all left your house around 11 p.m.

I do like Istanpitta too. Hope to acquire more of their CDs at future Pennsics. I will definitely have to check out L'Ensemble Cercamon to tickle my French heritage.

and to prove that maybe just MAYBE I should get my glasses checked, I was thinking "why was he drinking coffee made out of Jello?"

Typically, a tin of coffee will say to use one tablespoon per 6 oz. cup. This stuff says to use two. They like their coffee strong in New Orleans, and this came out quite yummy.

[knocking on wood] Maybe the curse is lifted! But based on occurances of the past week, maybe it just moved over a bit.
