Update on Korea

We now return you to your previously scheduled drama.

It turns out that I'm too expensive for the Korea position. I'm not surprised. I'm thankful that this question is settled before heading to Estrella.

On the "more drama" front, I have to arrange to get my butt home from Estrella on Sunday instead of driving back. The old job has finally been funded, and they'd *really* like me to show up on Monday, the 15th. Given that my company has carried me on overhead for over three weeks on belief that we would get to this point, I'm inclined to cooperate.

The state vector has collapsed.

That is all good news. :) Well, unless you had finally decided that you really wanted to move to Korea, that is... ;>

Yay! All functions have returned to normal (as soon as we figure out what 'normal' is, anyway).

Yay!! Good News!!

I'm glad that things on the job front have actually been settled before you head west.

A quick check on southwest.com shows most fares (PHX to BWI) in the mid-200's but one at $114. Fares from Tucson were either in the 100s or around 300, but there were only 5 flights. Best of luck with the transportation thing.

Glad there's good job news.
You might miss the Korea adventure, but a funded job is a good thing :)

ETA: Enjoy Estrella

Um, yay?

I am so sorry you have been so jerked around lately, but I'm very glad it's settling out now.

I am looking forward to seeing you at the War.

Yay them being able to pay you what you need! Yay not having to move to another country!

Boo scrambling to find quicker transport, which is a pain.

I'm glad for purely selfish reasons that you aren't going. :-D And of course, the "have job at home" thing is fantabulous. I look forward to seeing you at Hrim-Schola!

Oooooooo, Cabo......nice! Glad to hear things worked out for the better.

Oh, thank heavens! I know we only get to see each other a couple times a year, but I do value those times, and was not looking forward to losing them. (The next time may well be AEthelmearc War Practice. Brusten has Plans.)

Not that I want you to get paid less than you are truly worth....

As for getting back from Estrella, well, I guess you get to grow wings.

Yay for the job being funded! Sorry that the opportunity in Korea didn't pan out, but at the same time, glad that you and MJ won't have that stress to deal with (and that you'll be in this area a while longer). I'd have missed you both very much.

That sounds like the best solution overall, then. I'm glad this is working out for you.

conga rats!

I am glad to hear that this worked out and also impressed by your employed carrying you over that way.

This is excellent news-aside from having to bug out of Estrella-but we're glad you'll be here.
