We now return you to your previously scheduled drama.

It turns out that I'm too expensive for the Korea position. I'm not surprised. I'm thankful that this question is settled before heading to Estrella.

On the "more drama" front, I have to arrange to get my butt home from Estrella on Sunday instead of driving back. The old job has finally been funded, and they'd *really* like me to show up on Monday, the 15th. Given that my company has carried me on overhead for over three weeks on belief that we would get to this point, I'm inclined to cooperate.

The state vector has collapsed.

Um, yay?

I am so sorry you have been so jerked around lately, but I'm very glad it's settling out now.

Mostly yay. The more I thought about it, the Korea opportunity, had it materialized, would have been hugely disruptive, in part because I would not have had much space to settle affairs before going. It would have dumped an hideous load on my wife. In the end, while I have been jobless, I have, at no time, been unemployed. For that I am grateful, and I feel indebted to my employer to help them recoup the investment they made in me. I think I can safely say that we both look forward to an extended and mutually beneficial arrangement whereby they make decent money off my skills.

Another part of yay is the company vacation to Cabo San Lucas in April. :)

Yes, when you said you'd have to sell the house, that sounded like an intensely sucky scenario. So glad that's not happening. And woohoo, company vacation!!!

I've also been holding off on asking, since your life was so incredibly complex, but does this mean you'll be able to come to Hrim-Schola this year?

At this point, yes, Hrim Schola is firmly on our calendar.
