Musing on a job prospect

A friend mentioned that I should look at the company her husband works for. I spoke with a recruiter who asked me how I felt about Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I didn't say "hell no!". My wife has not said "hell no!".

Who do I know in or around there? What would recommend the locale to me?

Understandable. From what I can tell, though, it is a good community, both in and out of the SCA.
