Tom Fox went to Iraq willing to die for peace.

Death found him. I am sad. I don't know what else to say under this heading.

Please hold his family and friends in the light, and hold those responsible for his death in the light as well, that the scales may soon fall from their eyes and they repent of their diverse sin.

So I'm reading rec.aviation.military, and someone posts a simple note there (and crossposted to several other newsgroups) about Tom Fox's body being found. I don't know why it was on-topic for that newsgroup, but it was a tasteful notice.

First respondent opines that not only was he stoopid, but that he was, at the very least, a solid runner-up for a Darwin award. I'm waiting for Fred Phelps to say that his death was a further symptom of America's fall from grace (or however he spews it).

I guess it's ok to spit on the grave of someone working for peace; I'm sure that the respondent mentioned above would be incensed were someone to similarly characterize a soldier who died.

No, I'm not going to go on and on...it's not worth the bile...
