I wouldn't ber surprised if someone at Fox sent the letter to Olberman. The media wars have just gotten worse, with direct ad hominem attacks thrown between reporters (Olberman included). This is just the next step in networks and reporters trying to discredit each other.
I'm reminded of a scene from Gangs of New York, where three fire companies show up to put out a building, and end up warring with each other in the streets, neglecting the building on fire and looting the buildings adjacent to it. It's sad that in this day and age I can still see remnants of that, as the news networks completely lose sight of their purpose of reporting news and instead exist to attack each other. I look forward with dread to the eventual Warner/Murdoch cage match, only available on pay-per-view.
