Home from the wars
Aug. 12th, 2007 06:06 pmBusiness was disappointing, but not disastrous. The weather provided a steady source of suckage, being either stinky hot or soaky rainy. At least the ground sucked up the water promptly.
Teaching went well. Eight people got individual instruction in tablet weaving, along with two big classes on weaving and designing for 3/1 twill.
General schmoozing occurred.

We saw and heard Cercamon at the Acadiana Medieval Faire in Louisiana. I encouraged them to come to Pennsic. I hope they got the solid reception that they deserved. I only heard them for a bit on Midnight Madness when they were playing at Marrakesh. They did recognize men when I greeted them. Unfortunately, my attempt to get them to come by our shop to partake of libations and (hopefully play) foundered, probably because the weather on Thursday sucked rocks.
Friday was decent, and turned into our best sales day. Saturday was great for packing out dry.
