i was linked to the original utube video by one of the autistic adults on Live Journal.
i have my own opinions about a lot of this, but i think that if it was treated like a "normal handicap" with the usual helpers, work arounds and so on, many more of the autistic community would be able to be self supporting.

most of the autistic folks i have spoken with on line are fantastic proof readers, as an example....

the real issues come about when the neuro normal community wont take the same "work arounds" that they take for blindness... and when the autistic/aspergers person wont admit they NEED work arounds, or that their weak points need to be known about and worked with from the get go.

(sorry, but my ex business partner was tentatively diagnosed with Aspergers and if i had known then what i do now, i would have handled a LOT differently.)

Thank you for posting this.... it's sad thought they do not get into the differences between the wheasler and the raven... most schools do not know about the raven and the wheasler is the present standard for gifted and talented in most states.
