Poker goes so much better when you get decent cards. Draw poker where you get dealt five hearts. Anaconda where you get dealt all the sixes. Getting all the nines. Even better is managing to get paid for those cards.

Playing no-peek and watching the first person take all seven cards to beat an ace.
...with a flush and a straight.
...and then having the third person roll a boat.

Poker was good to me last night. Each nickel, dime, and quarter that I laid out in front of me to start the evening went back in the jar with a new buddy, plus a few more of each.

I'm sorry to have missed seeing wombatgirl and melaniesuzanne and
hubbyfink. I just couldn't manage both.
