Well ain't I special...

No. We aren't going to GNEW after all. I reprised my performance from two years ago (but at home instead of on the road). It appears that my blood pressure has gone wonky on my, leading to spontaneous nose bleeds of spectacularness. The one that started just after midnight was the worst, to date, and led to a trip to the ER. Several hours of waiting and leaking later, the doc ran a nasal tampon up my nose to stopper it. You know, a bandaid for the inside of the nose. We got home from the ER at 0600, having no appreciable sleep. As I write this, I'm partially caught up on sleep.
As a consequence of this mess, I'm supposed to take it easy. No strenuous exertion for now. We decided that driving up to Maine for the weekend was no longer a good idea, so we're staying home.
On the up side, it means we can go to Storvik Novice Tourney. We can even set up shop there, and I get to see Geoffrey and Caemfind get theirs. We'll see how things work out. I think we have enough help lined up so that I can avoid overexertion in matters of tent erection and goods schlepping.

Date: 2008-07-11 04:36 pm (UTC)I recognize your name from the Atlantian Heralds list -- you're the Ragged Staff Herald! :-)
Maybe we'll meet at Pennsic? This might be more incentive for me to volunteer at Herald's Point.... :-)
