I got to the polling place at 0600, about an hour before opening. The line was 200 people or more, snaking out onto Woodmore Road. In the hour that followed, traffic got heavier and heavier, with people parking on the side of the road and having to walk maybe a quarter mile to get to the end of the line.

Once the doors opened, they loaded us up into the hallways, snaking about. I voted at about 0815-ish and was back in my car headed for work by 0830.

It was remarkably stressless...

Wow, that's a long wait. The record I've heard on LJ so far is 1:45, but you just beat it.

My wait was 45 minutes. However, I'm going back after work to work the polls for the Democrats, so it's a late night for me.
