Assault on the Roads of AEthelmearc

Friday evening, while going out for dinner at Fabric, Fiber, and Fighting, our wagon was viciously assaulted. I offer the photographic evidence:

OK, so we are driving down the road. MJ gasps. She saw a black critter by the side of the road. I didn't feel any thumps, so I didn't run over anything. Sunday morning, I notice this patch of stuff on the rear tire. I also saw two in the front tire. I sez to MJ, "I know what we almost hit Friday. A porcupine." That sucker has a bald patch now.

Wow! The question now is... how do you get the spines out? Apart from "very carefully..."

I simply pulled them out. The barb didn't really grab the tire strongly, so it wasn't terribly difficult.
