Date: 2008-12-14 04:15 am (UTC)I'll don a hat and tip it, now, and will raise a mug of coffee to you in the morning. Bravo.
Maybe I can see about making another sinfully delectable delectation (http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2008/10/the-hamburger-fatty-melt-a-burger-with-two-grilled-cheese-sandwiches-as-its-bun.html) in response... Date: 2008-12-15 09:14 pm (UTC)I was thinking of cooking the next one on a rack to keep it out of the grease.
I used the sheet of aluminum foil that I wove it on as a rolling accessory (much as the doohickey used for sushi rolls). Something a bit less conductive might have helped, such as a silicone sheet or the like. I used thick cut bacon; thinner might have helped. The roll was a bit bulky.
