Date: 2009-04-07 08:16 pm (UTC)What makes the case important is that the 'activist judge' (a republican put in by G.W.) not only found for the plaintiff, but wrote a scathing decision which basically put a full-stop to anyone attempting to put ID into the classroom.
The Iowa SC basically did the same thing with their unanimous decision, detailing how any argument that civil marriage should not include same-sex couples is entirely without merit.
