Since I've been idle on the day-job front, I've had some time to work in the shop, turning perfectly good wood into shavings and sawdust. Oh, and the odd bits of weaving stuff. And a doghouse.

Of note is that, thanks to a poke by [livejournal.com profile] lferion, I've gotten around to finishing off a bunch of wooden weaving tablets. I've gotten 70 done so far, and the stack of them is about 3.25 inches. That's 21.5 to the inch, or so. I've been claiming something closer to 18. Belt sanders are fine and wonderful things, especially when fitted out with P220 and P310 grit belts. The whole process goes much more quickly and smoothly than in the past. Woot! That number may double before the day is out, depending on other distractions.

And I have a couple of Oseberg style looms in stock.

Now, among the distractions are football games, photographing stock and getting the results up on the web site, and recovering from the carnage wrought by the hard drive in my laptop going south. I put the laptop into Apple's hands Thursday morning; FedEx woke my wife up Saturday morning to deliver the 'puter while I was out walking the dog. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Well, first, there's this one made of walnut that's coming up to Birka with us.

Tease!
I'm not going to Birka.
I think I've actually managed a complete month without any SCA event (I'm not counting the Wreath meeting as an event obviously :)
