The week in review?

herveusI wouldn't want to live in Killeen, Texas, because it's in the middle of Texas with miles and miles of miles and miles. Now, I've got no beef with the people; it's mostly the terrain. The airport (all six gates of it) does offer civil amenities, such as the free wireless internet I'm using to post this. The airport used to be Gray Army Airfield attached to Fort Hood. The runway can handle C-5 Galaxy transports. Now it has a civil terminal and regular service to Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and Atlanta.
It's been an interesting week, for mostly good values of interesting. I got thrown into "standup teacher" mode; it went pretty well. The students were reasonably motivated and attentive. I think they got what they needed out of it.
There seems to be a significant Korean community. I found a Korean restaurant with a nicely diverse menu. Japchaebap was yummy, and the kimchi came in nice range of types, about eight or nine all told.
On the down side, there is a good chance I'll miss my connection in Atlanta. On paper, I have 25 minutes to get from the arrival gate in terminal C to the departure gate in terminal B. In the event I don't make it, at least I'm tentatively booked on the next flight in an hour and a half.
