SCA COVID policy sanity
Sep. 27th, 2021 10:03 pmI have not read the official announcement, but once again, the SCA BoD scores an own goal, DDoSing themselves. That seems to happen any time they make a significant announcement as everyone hits the web site to download the document.
But on the other hand, kingdoms are now at liberty to require proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID test as a condition of participation. And that means all in-person activities, not just regular events.
Some kingdoms have already announced dates this takes effect. I'm reliably informed that some kingdoms have explicitly declined to do so. I'm looking at you Trimaris (Florida).
Still, I'm delighted at this attack of sanity. I'm sure they had a lot of letters encouraging/imploring/demanding this action.

Date: 2021-09-28 08:12 pm (UTC)Artemisia is also following this where allowed (i.e. not Montana, who has a death-cult state gov't).
Meridies has announced support for the policy and will be implementing it where allowed (i.e. not Florida, see previous remarks about Montana).
Northshield is apparently NOT going to implement the policy.
Reports from Caid say they're probably waiting until after GWW since pre-reg for that has just closed and there likely would be "drastic and painful site issues" at this time.
That's all the update I have right now that wasn't already covered above.
